Golf – Scottsdale/Phoenix is world famous for spectacular desert and mountain golf courses and there are so many within a short drive of the hotel. Try TPC, Eagle Mountain, Sunridge Canyon, WeKoPa, Troon North, or ask one of our local members if they will host you at one of their private clubs.

Musical Instrument Museum – Ranked by TripAdvisor as the top attraction in Phoenix and one of the top 20 museums in the United States MIM provides a one-of-a-kind experience for visitors of all ages with more than 6,800 instruments on display from around the world. www.mim.org

Hiking – If you been eating and drinking too much, and we are going to make sure you do, then there are numerous great hiking trails in the area. Heard Museum – The Heard Museum sets the standard for collaborating with American Indian artists and tribal communities to provide visitors with a distinctive perspective about the art of Native people, especially those from the Southwest. www.heard.org

Taliesen – Taliesin West is a National Historic Landmark nestled in the desert foothills of the McDowell Mountains in Scottsdale, AZ.  It is also the home of the Frank Lloyd Wright Foundation and the School of Architecture at Taliesin.

Shopping – just a five-minute walk from the hotel is Fashion Square with over 200 shops including Nieman Marcus and Nordstrom. Ten minutes’ drive away are Kierland Commons and Scottsdale Quarter.

Casinos – There are several casinos within a 10 -20 minute drive.

Things to do further afield

Sedona - Sedona's main attraction is its array of spectacular red sandstone formations. The formations appear to glow in brilliant orange and red when illuminated by the rising or setting sun. The red rocks form a popular backdrop for many activities, ranging from spiritual pursuits to the hundreds of hiking and mountain biking trails. www.visitsedona.com

Jerome – about two hours away. The drive up a great switchback road to an elevation of over 5,000 feet is fun. The historical mining town is now a wonderful artists community. You can do ghost tours and even stay in a ghost hotel.  www.azjerome.com/jerome

Painted Desert - A broad region of rocky badlands encompassing more than 93,500 acres, this vast landscape features rocks in every hue – from deep lavenders and rich grays to reds, oranges, and pinks.
